Her work emphasizes aligning strategy with operations through leadership development, implementation planning, organizational systems, performance management, process improvement, and organizational change.
Her current consulting portfolio includes work with WestEd, supporting Comprehensive Center initiatives for the Bureau of Indian Education. She has supported both the New Mexico Public Education Department and the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Through these engagements, she provides or provided executive consultation in strategic direction implementation, operational planning, organizational change, executive facilitation, leadership development, continuous improvement, organizational systems design, KPI development, and performance monitoring.
Doreen also serves as a national consultant for the Association of Educational Service Agencies (AESA), supporting education service agencies in organizational innovation, business strategy, pricing strategy, service design, entrepreneurial growth, organizational sustainability, and long-range planning.
Additionally, her current work includes executive coaching for innovation and execution of new programs and services as well as strategic design for state associations.
She currently partners with LEARN, a regional educational service agency in Connecticut, supporting executive leadership with innovation strategy, scaling new programs and services, pricing strategy, business development, and organizational sustainability.
Ms. Marvin is supporting Sourcewell, a regional education service center in Minnesota, with its 10-year literacy goal for the service region.
From 2018 through 2023, Doreen served as a consultant for Magnet Schools of America and the National Institute for Magnet School Leadership, providing strategic planning, leadership development, organizational design, school transformation, and implementation support for federally funded magnet school initiatives nationwide.
From 2017 through 2025, Ms. Marvin served as part of an external evaluation team for the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence.
Doreen is recognized for facilitating complex organizational conversations, guiding executive teams through change, and building practical implementation systems that strengthen organizational effectiveness and accountability.
